I worked in broadcast for many years. One of the things we had is called a delay dump.
It adds a delay to the broadcast in case something bad happens. It's configurable, but let's say 15 seconds in this example.
So you continue with your broadcast and if someone utters profanity on the live broadcast, you press the EMERGENCY DUMP button and it erases the last 5 seconds off your delay buffer, causing your broadcast to skip over the profanity. You can press the EMERGENCY DUMP button 3 times for your total of 15 seconds of buffer. Then over time, the buffer rebuilds using a time stretch algorithm.
I would love to see a feature like this for live streaming. Would help save a lot of people from bans when the unexpected happens. The downside is the delay in interacting with your chat. But for streamers of a certain size it could be worth it.
Good stuff! Yes, this could be very useful. Will add to our list.
